Pales d’hélicoptère, hélices de ventilateurs ou machine délirante ? Le mécanisme qui occupe l’espace de la scène de Voleuse, c’est tout cela à la fois : un instrument imposant posé là et entièrement voué à la perturbation de la marche des danseuses. Lorsqu’elles arrivent, imperturbables, dans leur bleu de travail, c’est pour se lancer dans un déplacement envers et contre lui, dont les courses cherchent obstinément l’évitement au risque de la collision. Dans un mouvement circulaire mais brassant également l’air de haut en bas, c’est presque une spirale infernale qui engloutit les danseuses dans une ronde inexorable, un combat pour leur place dans cet environnement.
Expérience, exercice, jeu ou spectacle ?
Il ressort du spectacle un état de corps spécifique pour exister dans cette danse, extrêmement juste, combiné avec les multiples possibilités de jeu avec les pales. Pourtant, ces danseuses en orange deviennent peu à peu les forçats d’un dispositif auquel on ne peut plus adhérer ou croire jusqu’au bout. Manque simplement la nécessité qu’on aimerait lire dans leur proposition, puisqu’à tout instant il leur est possible de sortir de la contrainte. Par quoi sont-elles mues ; qu’est-ce qui distingue leur présence d’un simple jeu ou exercice de style ? Des questions qui restent en suspens.
