Empruntant les mêmes sentiers de traverse que sa frangine en musique Jeanne Added, petite fille modèle du jazz contemporain devenue maîtresse fatale pop, le saxophoniste de jazz Thomas de Pourquery a depuis longtemps déjà fait le choix d’ouvrir très largement ses chakras musicaux. Homme de scène au cœur chaud comme la braise, il a des rêves de gloire, de tendresse et de partage à n’en plus finir et se sent visiblement à l’étroit dans une vie sans métamorphose. Tournant (provisoirement, un nouvel album étant déjà en vue) la page du projet Supersonic marqué par une magistrale révérence à Sun Ra (l’album « Play Sun Ra »), il se réinvente aujourd’hui sous le nom de Von Pourquery en improbable crooner décalé en chemise à fleurs dans des chansons de sa plume aux beats électro et climats jazz sensuels. Le tout porté par le groove imparable de ses complices David Aknin aux percussions et Sylvain Daniel à la basse électrique. Effet « été indien » garanti…
