Qui n’a pas dansé lascivement sur Je t’aime moi non plus ? Qui n’a pas sauté sur les rythmes joyeux de L’ami Caouette ?Octavio de la Roza est un enfant de Béjart et d’Holiday on Ice. Argentin d’origine, sa mère glissait sur la glace tandis qu’à 17 ans, il croise Maurice Béjart et intègre son ballet. Sans doute de ce vécu mêlant classique et populaire lui est venue l’idée de danser sur les chansons de Gainsbourg. Résultat : un spectacle qui se veut plus qu’une évocation des standards du chanteur, ou une simple illustration de ses tubes : une interprétation subtile et personnelle qui change les chansons en danse. Avec lui, deux danseuses rendront bien sûr la sensualité de l’univers gainsbourgien dans une sorte de remake inversé de Je t’aime moi non plus (où deux hommes courtisaient la belle Birkin). Mais surtout, Octavio de la Roza tentera de donner à la parole chantée de Gainsbourg, à sa poésie, à ses provocations et à ses mélodies variées une traduction dans le corps chorégraphié qui laisse voir comment l’artiste disparu chante en lui. Un spectacle-hommage donc, tout autant qu’une invite à faire rentrer Gainsbourg sur la scène de la danse.
