C’est en tout cas un théâtre d’images et de poésie que construisent ces deux créateurs, qui vont s’appliquer à recomposer sous nos yeux une humanité, d’abord étrangement disloquée. Dans la fragilité du papier et du carton, éléments constitutifs de l’univers de Voyageurs immobiles, tour à tour radeaux, rochers, abri ou maison, les personnages se dessinent peu à peu, de transformation en transformation. Ils sont les témoins d’une communauté échouée entre solidarité et intolérance, et dépeignent avec une douce acidité ce qui pourrait être le reflet de notre société. Entre rêve et cauchemar, Voyageurs immobiles est à la fois un récit de vies et l’histoire de nous-mêmes, spectateurs immobiles, mais happés par une belle féérie visuelle.
