Sophie Adam puise son inspiration dans son environnement sensoriel et sonore. De là découle son univers singulier, celui du territoire alpin, où elle travaille, puisque sa compagnie est installée en Savoie. Collaborant depuis de nombreuses années avec Alain Basso, compositeur/ethnomusicologue, spécialiste des musiques traditionnelles alpines, ils élaborent ensemble Wilfried. Ce spectacle est une rencontre entre des chants et appels de bergers de l’arc alpin, un motif chorégraphique et une forte présence musicale incarnée par un accordéoniste et une joueuse de tampura. La respiration de l’accordéon diatonique ponctue l’inspiration de la danse, lui offre un espace intemporel où l’imaginaire peut se loger. La tampura accompagne de sa vibration une danse plutôt méditative et lointaine tandis que le son de quelques clochettes nous ramène aux alpages. Ample et fluide, la gestuelle semble s’appuyer sur l’air pour nous faire percevoir de nouveaux horizons.
