Grande Halle de La Villette / danse et arts visuels
Pendant un mois, déambuler sous la Grande Halle de La Villette promet autre chose qu’une simple promenade ! Et pour cause : l’immense espace accueille deux artistes non moins immenses, là où on ne les attend pas forcément. Pour Nowhere and Everywhere at the Same Time Nº2, le chorégraphe William Forsythe a momentanément délaissé ses danseurs pour envisager l’installation dans l’espace de 444 pendules. Une contrainte pour le spectateur, qui réécrit sa présence en fonction de l’objet. Ryoji Ikeda, qui œuvre pour la musique notamment au sein du collectif Dumb Type, prend à bras-le-corps la monumentalité du lieu avec la déclinaison d’un dispositif sonore et lumineux intitulé test pattern, débuté en 2008. Ici, le principe immersif fonctionne à plein régime. Avec la seule bichromie du noir et blanc, sur le principe de la ligne, c’est une véritable chorégraphie visuelle et sonore qui s’écrit à travers le corps du visiteur.
