Conception compagnie La Contrebande
La mort de Willy Wolf, le 15 mai 1925, a fait de cet ouvrier polonais et acrobate une légende. Au point que l’on voie aujourd’hui en lui l’un des pionniers de l’art de la performance. Dans un spectacle qui porte son nom, la compagnie La Contrebande fait revivre les derniers moments du fameux trompe-la-mort : son saut de 53 mètres depuis le pont transbordeur de Nantes, devant une foule venue assister à la prouesse. « Dans la vie de Willy Wolf comme au Cirque, jusqu’où s’aventurer pour impressionner les foules ? », s’interrogent les six acrobates du collectif. Ils formulent leur question avec une bascule, un plongeoir et une moto volante, à travers une succession de petits et de grands exploits. Construit à la manière d’un grand jeu, leur pièce questionne aussi la course à la célébrité nourrie par les médias, par les réseaux sociaux.
