Théâtre de Gennevilliers
En 2012, Latifa Laâbissi créait Ecran somnambule, un solo directement issu de la fameuse Danse de la sorcière de Mary Wigman. Elle y réinterprétait l’œuvre, ou plutôt un fragment récupéré du seul film existant montrant la chorégraphe dans cette danse qu’elle n’a jamais, par la suite, transmise à quiconque. Elle y jouait sur la durée, étirant le temps à l’extrême, faisant surgir un état de corps profondément habité, voire possédé. « Comme j’aimais entrer dans la fièvre de cet univers ! », disait Mary Wigman à propos de son interprétation du solo. Les notions de transe, de fièvre, d’hystérie ont en effet été des axes importants de la recherche de Latifa Laâbissi pour cette pièce.
Une sorcière à réactiver
Aujourd’hui, elle fait resurgir ce corps en réactivant la question de la mémoire et de l’histoire. Il est intéressant de voir à quel point notre regard sur la figure de la sorcière a encore évolué aujourd’hui. L’ensorceleuse, dangereuse femme de pouvoir, a toujours représenté un danger. Mais ne contient-elle pas en elle une puissance émancipatrice ? Avec le Théâtre de Gennevilliers, Latifa Laâbissi présente sa performance tout en menant un travail avec les élèves du conservatoire Edgar Varèse pour mieux s’interroger sur les suites contemporaines de cette danse.
