RADIO FRANCE / WEEK-END XENAKIS
Cinq concerts, onze pièces de Xenakis, trois commandes et une première française, le week-end que Radio France consacre à l’inclassable compositeur et architecte d’origine grecque choisit le pari de faire résonner la fécondité contemporaine d’une œuvre sans maître ni disciple. Sous la baguette de Pascal Rophé, le Philharmonique de Radio France fera répondre, en ouverture, la création du Concerto pour hautbois de Philippe Hurel avec Keqrops et Nekuia. Julien Leroy et le Paris Percussion Group mettront en regard Philippe Manoury et Liza Lim avec Zythos. Mais la création des Métamorphoses de Bastien David pour le Métallophone, qu’il a conçu avec les six musiciens de la compagnie Les insectes, incarnera sans doute le mieux une postérité de l’imagination visionnaire de Xenakis, qui avait dessiné un autre instrument à percussions, le sixxen, pour Pléiades, redonné au milieu d’un panorama largement consacré à la percussion.
