Céline Amato a créé sa compagnie à Nice, avant de s’installer à la Réunion en 2008. XY à chair de peau, qu’elle présente au Chapiteau Théâtre Fou, est habité par ce parcours : après en avoir créé une première étape à Nice, la chorégraphe l’a finalement achevé après avoir rencontré le danseur réunionnais Didier Boutiana. Tous deux nous font traverser l’expérience d’un couple excessif, qui – par le voyage – se reconstruit en abandonnant les artifices. On retrouve l’intérêt de la compagnie Artefakt pour l’intime et la rencontre des genres : Céline Amato revendique la dimension féminine de son écriture chorégraphique et le questionnement, par le hip-hop, de l’identité et du rôle de la femme. Une identité qui se révèle dans la relation à l’autre : XY à chair de peau explore la façon dont l’enveloppe corporelle joue ce rôle d’interface entre l’intérieur et l’extérieur, l’autre et soi-même, l’émotionnel et l’action.
