Les nombreuses pièces du grand dramaturge Hanoch Levin, de plus en plus présentes sur les scènes hexagonales, traversent divers genres : du tragique épuré à la satire exubérante et mordante. Jamais en tout cas il n’abandonne sa vision du monde désenchantée et pourtant compréhensive, vision extrêmement caustique voire féroce, où les personnages se débattent et s’agitent contre l’adversité et le plus souvent ne renoncent pas à vivre même dans des conditions extrêmes ! Comique et cruel à la fois… Après le savoureux Yaacobi et Leidental, Frédéric Bélier-Garcia s’attaque à Yakich et Poupatchée, pièce moins connue, conte grotesque aux accents felliniens tant l’épopée des protagonistes relève de la bouffonnerie cocasse et capricieuse. Comme le souligne le metteur en scène, « Levin écrit ici l’odyssée vertigineuse et catastrophique du pauvre désir , confronté à toutes ces forces qui le dépassent et l’épuisent : pulsions, rêves, fantasmes, obligation reproductrice, langueur matrimoniale, poids du père, exaspération de toutes les mères… » Yakich et Poupatchée sont deux êtres jeunes, pauvres et très laids, en manque d’amour. Un étrange marieur propose de les unir, mais les noces tournent au cauchemar burlesque, course-poursuite nocturne ponctuée de courses et danses. A voir !
