Pour peu qu’on veuille bien lui prêter une oreille attentive, la musique klezmer ne demande qu’à laisser rayonner sa vision du monde pleine de profondeur et de fantaisie. Pour peu que cette riche culture musicale rencontre des musiciens à sa mesure possédant justement la profondeur, la générosité et le brio instrumental requis. C’est chose faite avec Yankele, formidable groupe français s’appuyant sur une instrumentation idéale. « Ce sont cinq amis, cinq musiciens unis comme les cinq doigts d’une main de virtuose qui jouerait une musique sans frontières, sans limites…. Ils perpétuent la tradition du “peuple errant”, imprégnée de tous les rythmes du monde, tous les modes, toutes les mélodies rencontrées sur leur route » s’enthousiasme Georges Moustaki, « fan » du groupe. Avec Christine Laforêt, (accordéon, chant), Jason Meyer (violon, chant), Mathieu Bresch (contrebasse), Jean-Christophe Hoarau (guitare) et Yannick Thépault (clarinette, chant, flûte irlandaise).
