Sébastien Bertrand, habitué à laisser parler son accordéon, se retrouve disert et seul en scène, nous contant son histoire. Et la matière est romanesque quoique autobiographique : 35 ans après son adoption, ce musicien absolument vendéen interroge ses origines libanaises et fait le pont entre ses deux identités. « J’avais une histoire ailleurs que je n’avais jamais regardée, constate Bertrand, trop à l’aise et occupé dans ma culture du marais breton » On retrouve l’empreinte de l’auteur, Yannick Jaulin, ce ton frontal et touchant, langue épurée où la métaphore poétique est une ponctuation du réel.
Mémoire de l’âme
« En parlant de soi on parle de tout le monde. Je ne dévoile pas ma vie intime, finalement je parle des gens. Et cette histoire permet d’entendre nos histoires respectives, d’amorcer une relation à l’autre » Et lorsque l’accordéon relaie le verbe, le témoignage envahit la mémoire du corps et de l’âme, pénétrant ces questions essentielles d’identité, de famille et d’itinéraire, par la grâce universelle de la musique.
