OPERA EN VERSION DE CONCERT / THEATRE DES CHAMPS-ELYSEES
Avec l’Orchestre de Chambre d’Europe (à l’automne dernier, pour une remarquable intégrale Schumann à la Cité de la Musique) ou avec sa formation néerlandaise, les opportunités de retrouver le très charismatique et fougueux Yannick Nézet-Séguin ne se comptent plus. Pour le premier de ses deux rendez-vous Avenue Montaigne cette saison, il se présente pourtant sous un nouveau jour, celui de l’opéra wagnérien en cette année de bicentenaire… Il dirige Le Vaisseau fantôme, en version de concert et en ouverture d’une tournée européenne, avec les voix de Evgeny Nikitin, Franz-Josef Selig, Emma Vetter, Frank van Aken,
Agnes Zwierko, l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Rotterdam et le Chœur De Nederlandse Opera. « C’est un orchestre qui mérite vraiment d’être plus connu. Il offre une telle puissance, une telle implication des musiciens ! » ne cesse de rappeler Yannick Nézet-Séguin qui, aussitôt bouclé ce tour de piste wagnérien en Europe, s’envolera vers les Etats-Unis pour l’ouverture de saison de son autre orchestre, à Philadelphie.
