D’abord les faits, qui parlent d’eux-mêmes : Yves Carini chante 10 titres originaux, la plupart de sa plume, et reprend « La Javanaise », entouré pour la production et les arrangements de la bonne fée Claire Bonnefoy, tendance nouveau talent insolent, et de Philippe Saisse, ex-partenaire de Nougaro, Al Jarreau ou David Bowie, tendance « trop beau pour être vrai ». Et puis l’effet : une caresse, un souffle de swing, un courant d’air chaud. Le pur plaisir d’une voix sensuelle et souple, musicale et groovy de la première à la dernière note, le bonheur de bonnes chansons bien écrites aux mélodies accrocheuses, et enfin le mirage trop souvent aperçu et si rarement atteint d’écouter des chansons françaises qui sonnent et swinguent « à l’américaine ». On pense à Al Jarreau, à Michael Franck, à Georges Benson, à Nat King Cole… Mais c’est bien dans la langue de Molière qu’a choisi de s’exprimer Yves Carini, comme par défi, avec swing, naturel et grace. Pari gagné pour ce fils de Salvador, Koven et Nougaro. Son nouvel album est une enveloppe de feeling jazzy et easy pour passer l’hiver. En souplesse.
