Cet hommage à Léo Ferré est composé de 19 titres dont 10 inédits, tous extraits du recueil “Poète…vos Papiers !” paru en 1956. Beaucoup de ces textes –enregistrés ou non- avaient été mis en musique par Léo Ferré en personne, d’autres étaient restés en l’état. Fils du poète et chanteur anarchiste, Mathieu Ferré a donné pour la première fois son accord pour qu’un compositeur s’empare des textes de son père. C’est au contrebassiste Yves Rousseau que revient l’honneur et le défi de marcher dans les pas du grand Léo. Deux voix féminines donnent vie à ces chansons, celles de Claudia Solal et Jeanne Added, vocalistes de jazz reconnues. « Poètes, vos papiers ! pourrait être la lettre que je n’ai jamais écrite à Léo Ferré… Comme la signature de mon profond respect à celui dont le génie aura abondamment nourri mon imaginaire » confie Yves Rousseau. Avec aussi Régis Huby (violon), Christophe Marguet (batterie) et Jean-Marc Larché (saxophones).
