En 1986, le projet s’appuyait sur le mariage inédit entre le music-hall et la danse contemporaine, invitant sur le plateau tous les genres à se télescoper dans une suite de tableaux façon revue. Les temps changent, les artistes mûrissent, et les œuvres s’oublient… Qu’a à nous offrir Zoopsie Comedi dans le contexte actuel ? Remontée avec une douzaine d’interprètes dont un bon nombre est issu du hip hop, la pièce retrouve également la ferveur de Christian Lacroix qui a repris minutieusement la fabrication des soixante-huit costumes. A l’époque, l’esprit d’un travail collectif, urgent et audacieux hantait la fantaisie de ce divertissement à paillettes. Aujourd’hui, l’urgence d’exister s’est déplacée vers d’autres enjeux ; reste à la jeunesse des interprètes – et à la fougue des chorégraphes – de prendre à bras-le-corps un tel projet.
