Théâtre Berthelot / de Isabelle Rèbre / mes Bernard Bloch et Martine Colcomb
Au départ, Isabelle Rèbre a voulu écrire une sorte de comédie beckettienne sur Ingmar Bergman et l’acteur Erland Josephson, à partir d’une déclaration qui l’a troublée : leur promesse mutuelle d’aider l’autre à mourir si nécessaire. Créateur tutélaire obsédé par la mort, Bergman la fascine. Finalement, ce n’est pas tant le naufrage de la fin que « la vie qui surgit encore là où on ne voyait que décrépitude » qui imprègne son écriture qui superpose deux fictions. En jeu l’artiste dans les dernières années de sa vie, mais aussi une jeune narratrice habitée par l’œuvre du cinéaste, dont la photographie lui rappelle son père. Bernard Bloch*, qui se sent proche de Bergman, s’empare de ce texte avec sa manière habituelle entière et engagée, à travers un jeu sans pathos tiré au cordeau convoquant six comédiens : « Autant qu’une pièce sur la vieillesse et la mort, Fin est une pièce sur le désir. “Vivre c’est désirer, désirer jusqu’à la mort“ », souligne-t-il.
